At birth, a little princess loses her shadow. How to live without your shadow? Even a princess is not complete without a shadow.
She gets everything her heart desires, even her own island full of toys. But the princess remains dissatisfied because a shade is simply not for sale. One day she finds a door in her room to another world: the Realm of the Shadows. She goes in, looking for her own shadow…
In an amazing way David Middendorp combines computer images with live dance in his performances. David Middendorp brings the illustrations by Doortje Middendorp come to life in “Maanschaduw”. A whimsical fairytale with dance and computer animations, driven by live music from violin and double bass.
"Ingenious computer animations turn the white back wall and surface into a gaudy princess room, the inside of a super slide, or a dark world where the shadows rule."
